For the past thirty years I have been an Army wife and have traveled across the globe with my family. We have lived in many communities and I have worked mainly as an Artist, Teacher, and Interior Decorator. I am originally from Spring Hill, Kansas a typical small farming town in the Midwest. For as long as I can remember I have loved the arts. Painting, sketching, sculpting, and glass etching are my favorites. I had produced and sold art in several media to include: graphite, Charcoal, watercolors, acrylics, chalk pastels, foam sculpting, glass etching, textural treatments, sewing, and I have illustrated two children’s books. I was introduced to the Huntsville art world by the folks at 16 Main, Madison in 2011. I was welcomed with open arms and was invited to paint a six foot butterfly for the Huntsville Botanical Gardens. I have met many wonderful artists in Madison and the surrounding areas. In 2011 I was introduced to Local Artist Anna Braden and asked to become a member of The Painted Bra Art Project. I am an 11 year Breast Cancer Survivor and a big advocate of anything that contributes to finding a cure and helping others with this awful disease.
I have a wonderful family that I just love to talk about. My husband currently works as a Department of the Army Civilian at Redstone Arsenal and is a retired Army Colonel. We have two wonderful children. Our daughter, Kelly Beasley is a 2012 graduate of the University of Alabama and lives in Louisville, KY with her wonderful husband Robert. Our son Steven is a Freshman attending University of Alabama.
