Sandy Sparks - Artistic Treasures in Madison, Alabama. I am honored to be involved in the first annual Madison Christmas Card Lane. My Christmas Card has a working twinkling lamp post, and 3D snow. I was born in a small town in Kansas. I met and married the man of my dreams, Colonel Ralph Sparks, retired. We have been married for 30 wonderful years. We have two children, Kelly Beasley, married and living in Louisville Kentucky, and Steven who is attending The University of Alabama. When we moved to Madison, Al in 2011, I was introduced to the Huntsville art world by walking into 16 Main, Madison. I was welcomed with open arms and was invited to paint a six foot butterfly for the Huntsville Botanical Gardens. After that I met wonderful artists in the community. I am an 11 year Breast Cancer Survivor and a big advocate of anything that contributes to finding a cure and helping others with this awful disease. I am an active member of The Painted Bra Project. I work in several media, techniques, and textiles in my home studio. I work with watercolors, acrylics, graphite pencils, colored pencils, chalk pastels, foam sculpting, glass etching, textural treatments, sewing, and wood burning. Facebook
